Hindquarter / Frontquarter?
Hindquarter / Frontquarter is a training tool that you use to move your horse in all directions -- sideways, backwards, and forwards. It provides an opportunity to get a feel for your horse’s frame of mind before you step into the saddle.
In the saddle, hindquarter / frontquarter is a tool used to teach your horse how to give to pressure, place their feet where you want them placed, to settle and calm a horse while maintaining control and to build a trusting relationship with your horse.
